Sportmanship in the sunshine
Children from 12 schools across Norfolk and Suffolk came together for a multi-school athletics competition on 7th June.
The event saw pupils from all Evolution Academy Trust schools competing in a range of sporting challenges throughout the day. The overall winners on the day were Dell Primary, with Elm Tree Primary second and Costessey Primary third. The Sportmanship award went to Wensum Junior School.
The schools participating were: Coldfair Primary School, Dell Primary School, Elm Tree Primary School and Poplars Primary School from Suffolk; and Angel Road Infant School, Angel Road Junior School, Bignold Primary School, Costessey Primary School, Eaton Primary School, Filby Primary School, Nelson Infant School and Wensum Junior School in Norfolk.
The event was organised by Dan Smith and Harry Wyer, teachers at Elm Tree Primary School. Dan said “This is the third time we have held the Trust-wide Evolution Cup - although it is a huge undertaking, it is absolutely worth it when the children come together, to represent their school teams and display superb sportsmanship. It was a great day!”
